🏈 Field Goal Kicker
Tap or press Space: stop the aim needle, then stop the power bar.
How to play field goal kicker
You are the kicker, and every attempt is a two-tap rhythm. Tap once to stop the aim needle sweeping across the mouth of the goal — the green zone on the bar marks the width between the uprights. Tap again to stop the power bar and strike the ball. Too little power and the kick falls short; too much is never a problem for distance, but a poor aim with a stiff crosswind will send it wide.
Made kicks move you three yards further back and add to your streak. Miss three kicks — short, wide, off the post or the crossbar all count — and the game is over. On desktop the Space bar does everything a tap does.
Reading the wind like a real kicker
The wind arrow at the top of the field is the whole strategy of this game. Wind only pushes the ball sideways, and the push grows with hang time, which means longer kicks drift much more than short ones. A 20-yard chip barely moves in a breeze; a 55-yarder in a 15 MPH crosswind can blow four yards off line — wider than the goal itself.
- Aim into the wind, not at the posts. If the arrow points left, stop the needle right of center and let the ball drift home. Straight aims are how centers get blown up.
- Full power is not always the answer. Distance only needs enough to clear the crossbar. A centered needle with clean power beats a panicked hook from a harder angle.
- Protect your streak. The multiplier kicks in at 3 and grows at 5. At long distance, a smart safe make is worth more than a hero attempt that snaps the run.
- Watch the doinks. Balls that clip the post or the crossbar are no good — but they tell you your aim was only inches off. Nudge the needle half a zone and kick again.
FAQ
How do I kick the ball?
Every kick is two taps. First tap stops the aim needle — the white dashed line shows where your foot will send the ball. Second tap stops the power bar. Green power is short, red is full send; the ball then flies on its own and the uprights decide the rest.
Why does my ball keep drifting sideways?
That is the wind — the arrow at the top shows its direction and speed. A 15 MPH crosswind at long range can push the ball four yards off line, which is wider than the goal. Aim into the wind and let the drift carry the ball back between the posts.
How does scoring work?
Each make scores the distance of the kick in points, so a 40-yarder is worth 40. Consecutive makes build a streak: from 3 in a row kicks are worth 1.25× and from 5 in a row 1.5×. Three misses of any kind end the game.
How far can the kicks get?
You start at 20 yards and every made kick moves you back 3 more yards, up to 58. Misses keep you at the same distance, so you can grind your way forward — but the wind cap grows with distance, from about 4 MPH to 15.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes — tap anywhere on the field to lock aim and power. On desktop you can click or press the Space bar. Your best score and longest streak are saved on your device, so you can chase them across sessions.
