How to play Ball Sort Puzzle
Ball Sort Puzzle starts with transparent tubes holding stacked colored balls. Your job is to move the balls between tubes until each tube contains a single color. Tap one tube to grab the run of same-colored balls sitting on top of it, then tap a destination tube — they drop straight in.
The rules are simple: a tube only accepts balls that match its current top color, or anything at all if it is empty. You always get two spare tubes, and they are the most valuable resource on the board. The page opens on Hard (10 colors) because that is where the puzzle gets interesting — switch to Easy or Medium any time from the controls above the board.
How to beat hard levels (10 colors)
- Count before you commit. On hard levels every color appears exactly four times. Before moving a ball, check where its other three copies sit — moving toward the biggest cluster is almost always right.
- Never bury a singleton. Dropping an odd ball onto a color it doesn't belong to costs you a future move to dig it out. On 10-color boards those wasted moves are what actually kills runs.
- Keep one empty tube as long as possible. Two empties is comfort, one empty is enough to rotate almost any stuck position. Zero empties means every move is forced.
- Finish colors to free tubes. A completed tube becomes a spare the moment it fills — prioritizing near-complete colors early creates the space you need for the messy ones later.
- Undo is a planning tool. Trying a line three moves deep and rewinding it costs nothing. Hard levels reward players who explore branches instead of gambling on each pour.
FAQ
How do you play Ball Sort Puzzle?
Tap a tube to pick up the balls on top of it, then tap another tube to drop them in. Balls can only move onto a tube whose top ball is the same color, or onto an empty tube. Sort every color into its own tube to win.
What makes hard levels hard?
Hard levels use 10 colors across 10 tubes, so almost every tube starts fragmented. One careless pour can bury a color three layers deep, and with only two empty tubes there is little room to reverse mistakes — planning several moves ahead is essential.
Is every level solvable?
Yes. Each level is generated and then verified by a solver before it reaches you — there is always a way to finish, even when it looks stuck. If you dig yourself into a hole, Undo and Hint are there to help.
Is Ball Sort different from Water Sort?
The rules are the same classic sorting puzzle — this version uses colored balls in transparent tubes instead of poured liquid, and the palette is tuned so adjacent colors are easier to tell apart. If you prefer the liquid version, we have Water Sort Puzzle too.
